Tjekan 7 (pronounced ta-jacques-n seven) is a dynamic blend of some of the hottest pop and contemporary jazz
musicians on the East Coast  that share a common mission to provide fans with the ultimate entertainment experience.

Jack Prybylski (saxophones):


One of Western New York’s premiere instrumental performers, Jack Prybylski's (purr-bill-ski) career as an award winning
 saxophone player has included nine full-length recordings, endorsements, world travel, and the opportunity to work with some of the most respected names in contemporary music.

As a performer, Jack has shared the stage with many of the top names in contemporary jazz including Richard Elliott, David Sanborn, The Rippingtons, and Spyro Gyra, and has performed with the prestigious Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.  Jack is a ten-time recipient of the Buffalo Music Awards top saxophonist award.

In 2001, Jack released his solo debut Soho Strut which produced the Internet radio single Mandalay Bay. Smoothjazz.com President Sandy Shore hailed the CD as "Filling in the cracks between modern jazz and smooth jazz, Soho Strut is packed full with great compositions, sophisticated arragements, creative improvisation, and stellar musicianship."

An unpredicted firestorm of accolades followed the sophomore release of Window Shopping. A 2006 top ten with Smooth Jazz News, Window Shopping would also find itself a favorite on several other year-end lists and reviewers.

Jack is currently in the studio working on his third CD release.

Rodney Appleby (bass guitar/vocals):

Know for his ability to play complex bass lines while singing, Rodney has performed with the likes of Chuck Berry, The Original Coasters, Mary Wells (Motown Review) and Melba Moore.

 A refined scholar, Rodney taught jazz for a number of yearsat Buffalo State College and taught music at Kensington High School in Buffalo, New York. Currently, he is working with the Arts and Education Institiute of Western New York as an educator and as a concert performer with Ian Gillan from Deep Purple.  Additionally, he is working with the Canadian government to open a music program in Niagara Falls, Ontario.

Reggie Evans (drums):

Reggie Evans has toured and/or recorded with nationally renowned Canadian artists, including: Liberty Silver; The Bill King Quintet (feat. saxophonist Pat LaBarbara and bassist Dave Young); Play-Wright, Salome Bey; Cecile Frenette; Coconut Groove (feat. Rick Lazar); Formula Five (feat. organist Kingley Ettienne); The Sattalites (Reggae); Jamo (S. African rhythms); and Mutahdi and Friends (Island/Afro-Cuban/Jazz). 

Additionally, Reggie was simultaneosly performing and recording with a host of talent in the Buffalo area.

Kenny Hawkins (guitar):

In addition to scoring various tracks for movies and television, Kenny has recorded with the likes of Rick James, Mary J. Blige, Mary Jane Girls, Boyz to Men, Goo Goo Dolls and many, many more.  His platinum and gold record credits include work with Rick James, Mary Jane Girls, and Eddie Murphy and more.

Throughout his career, Kenny has appeared on a host of television shows including Oprah Winfrey, Arsenio Hall, Jay Leno & The Tonight Show and an extensive list of others.

Chris Marziale (keyboards/vocals):

Having performed professionally for over 30 years, Chris Marziale's experience and expertise in the entertainment field is
extensive.  In addition to  performing live, Chris has recorded locally as well as in Nashville, and has written, recorded and produced his own material. Chris is also the recipient of numerous local music awards.
